Dr Duncan McCollin
My research interests are in landscape ecology and conservation biology, with a particular interest in landscape-scale issues in ecology and conservation. In the past, this has included research into the ecological consequences of landscape change, habitat fragmentation and looking into the potential role of linear features to act as corridors. I have interests in plants and birds although I am happy to use any taxonomic group!

Currently, I am supervising postgraduate research (see other pages) and pursuing my own interests in:

  • island biogeography and community ecology
  • hedgerow ecology
  • the effects of management on nature reserves
